[Letter] 1815 Mar. 23, Windsor [to] Lady Harcourt / Charlotte.

The letter is addressed to Lady Harcourt expressing concern for her. She writes, "I hope that Col. Harcourt if not arrived as yet will come soon to relieve poor Mrs. Harcourt's anxiety." Earlier in the letter Charlotte had expressed her concern for Colonel Harcourt, and her faith in God "to grant success to those who mean well & do their duty" and to punish "the Bad."

Princess Charlotte was the only child of King George IV of Great Britain and Caroline of Brunswick. She was doted on by her grandfather King George III. After attempts to betroth her to other European princes, she married Leopold of Saxe-Coburg, afterwards King of the Belgians.
